
Eric Lynch
Eric Lynch is Managing Director – Institutional Asset Management at Suncoast Equity Management. He joined the firm in July of 2025, bringing with him over two decades of investment experience, including nearly 20 years at Scharf Investments. Prior to Suncoast, Eric was a Managing Director, Analyst, and senior member of the Investment Committee at Scharf, where he played a key role in transforming the firm from a local private client business into a global asset manager. His work was central to expanding the firm’s institutional footprint across the U.S. and Europe, including relationships with major financial intermediaries such as Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and Citi.
Before his tenure at Scharf, Eric founded and ran his own registered investment advisory firm, Lynch Capital Management, LLC. Earlier in his career, he was Co-Chief Operating Officer, Research Analyst, and Portfolio Manager at Polen Capital Management, where he led the firm’s institutional channel. He also spent several years as a management consultant to Fortune 500 companies with Accenture and Price Waterhouse-Japan.
Eric graduated magna cum laude from John Carroll University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a concentration in Japanese. He earned his MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
An outdoor enthusiast, Eric enjoys trail running and mountain biking. He also enjoys rooting for the sports programs at the University of Notre Dame and Middlebury College, where his children attend. He speaks Nihongo—known to us as the Japanese language.
